A RUDE PROPOSAL: EQUAL CITIZENSHIP

Fuat Önen posted on April 18

The Turkish Sovereignty System (TES) accepts the Kurds in Northern Kurdistan as citizens of the State of Turkey. In return, they expect the Kurds to give up their nation-country truth. This is a 100-year-old immoral proposition. The Kurds, who rejected this offer, have been fighting for national liberation for 100 years. TES has been trying to eliminate the reality of the nation-state of the Kurds for 100 years.

The invaders are saying take our citizenship, give us your homeland. It is necessary to understand Demirtaş’s statement, “What more should the Kurds do, they gave you their homeland?” This means surrendering to the occupation. This 100-year-old invasive project is embellished and updated from time to time with the words of equal citizenship and democratic citizenship. Kurdistani politics is based on the nation-country truth and rejects this immoral offer.

Constitutional Citizenship, Equal Citizenship, and Democratic Citizenship are the forms of this genocidal project that have been updated in the last 30 years. The content is the same and is genocidal. Together with the USSR, the world order was dissolved and the world has been in search of a new order for 30 years. In these 30 years, dozens of new states have appeared on the stage of history. We have a federated state in Southern Kurdistan that is heading towards independence. The borders of Western Kurdistan became visible and the statehood imposed itself. The unification of these two parts of Kurdistan is on the agenda despite our political class.

Reheating this immoral offer lately is an effort of TES to protect itself. Stuck inside and outside, TES is in search of a cover for its immoral union by renewing the marriage with some Kurdish politicians. All over the world, immorality is knee-jerk, and immoral offers have many customers. This immoral offer also has customers in Northern Kurdistan. However, with whatever cover they cover, there are Kurdistani forces that will tear this veil and expose this political prostitution, and they are on the ground.

The Kurdistan Question is not an issue to be resolved with equal, constitutional or democratic citizenship. It is a question of land and power. The Kurdish nation will become a state in Kurdistan and provide its own citizenship law. And then we will realize the law of coexistence based on equal rights for all components of Kurdistan. Undoubtedly, this will be a democratic, voluntary, equal right coexistence law.

Revolutionaries are moral people. Such immoral offers cannot be made to them. The revolution will develop by creating its own morality.
